Vincenzo J. Olivett, M.S.

Doctoral Candidate in Social Psychology

My research explores how nonconscious affective processes inform attitudes and guide behaviors during social interactions. For example, much of my recent research has explored how automatic threat response and implicit attitudes affect people’s perceptions of the police and how threat-related processes shape behaviors during police-civilian interactions. I also have an ongoing line of research on the implications of threat perception and dispositional threat sensitivity for political attitudes.
